The Pathway to Stay Program is designed to prepare international students for the Canadian workplace and aims to ensure they are ready to work in Nova Scotia after graduation. 

Students will learn the skills, attitudes and behaviours needed to successfully undertake WIL and employment opportunities through recorded webinars, live sessions, skill development boot camps and live events – all with employer engagement and involvement.

Get Started with Pathway to Stay

  • Start watching recorded modules (workshops) and build your professional skills. From the moment you register for the program you will receive emails with links to watch our modules. Watch as many recorded modules as you want, each module is 1 hour long. If you joined the program last year and would like to watch past recordings, you can find them under the Resource Centre when you log in.  
  • Join live events in the Fall. Below is the schedule of the events that will take place from September to December. In person events will take place in Halifax or Dartmouth.  
Program Orientation Virtual Friday, September 6th from 12pm to 1pm 
Workshop #1 Virtual Thursday, September 19th from 12pm to 1pm 
Mini bootcamp #1 Virtual Tuesday, October 15th, from 6pm to 7.30pm 
Halifax University Career Fair In-person Wednesday, October 23rd, from 10am to 3pm *the event isn't organized by Pathway to Stay but students are encouraged to attend the fair.
Mini bootcamp #2 In-person Thursday, November 14th, from 6pm to 7.30pm, location TBD 
Showcase (TBC) TBC TBC
Graduation Virtual December, Friday 6th from 12pm to 1pm
