The Pathway to Stay Mentorship Program was created to bring NSCC employees together with NSCC international students to encourage meaningful connection and support through mentorship.
We want to help international students overcome and navigate systemic barriers to entering and progressing in the Nova Scotia labour market.
Mentors will have the opportunity to share their experience, advice and support to help guide international students as they enter the workforce.
Training sessions for mentors and mentees will be offered in the first week of February. You will receive an invitation via email and the recording will be shared after the session.
This program supports NSCC International's vision of welcoming communities for international students and immigrants.
Time commitment: Mentors and mentees are expected to meet 4-6 times between February and June 2025.

The Pathway to Stay Program is designed to prepare international students for the Canadian workplace and aims to ensure they are ready to work in Nova Scotia after graduation.
Students will learn the skills, attitudes and behaviours needed to successfully undertake WIL and employment opportunities through recorded webinars, live sessions, skill development boot camps and live events – all with employer engagement and involvement.

- Start watching recorded modules (workshops) and build your professional skills. From the moment you register for the program you will receive emails with links to watch our modules. Watch as many recorded modules as you want. If you joined the program last year and would like to watch past recordings, you can find them under the Resource Centre when you log in.
- Complete any 2 milestones to receive your Pathway to Stay certificate in April.
